Tender Dream

The class teacher asked me
In fifth standard
What do you want to be
When you grow up?

I said
When I become big
I want to become a scientist
Who makes rockets and atom bombs

The tender dream
From my fifth standard days
Got realized now
In a crackers factory
In the next street

My dear countrymen
Tell me one thing
In a country
That has so much child labors
How do you say
That old age homes alone are a sin?
