Good SHoW-27

Friends,

SHoW (Super Hero of the Week) announcement is lil late this week. As we had a lot of new members joining the group, we were very busy inducting them into the system... (Typical management fundas:-))

Have you heard of MLM? Multi-Level Marketing? I am sure some of you would have already burnt your fingers with companies like Amway!!! I am a living example to have burnt fingers, hand and the whole body in that. If any of your friends or a stranger calls you to discuss about "an exciting and very important business opportunity", please pass on my number to him or his to me and ask him to meet me preferably on a Friday night. I will thrash him to death.

But I could see a constructive MLM (I know MLM cannot be constructive... it's all about cheating 100 people to enrich 10) happening in our group this week. As a birthday gift, we presented Jobsy a lifetime free membership to the group. Immediately to compensate the benefits, he joined 3 other ex BCians in the group on the same day. Jobsy, as we all know, always works for mutual benefits without any vested interests... one of his down-line (an Amway jargon... Jobsy is called a sponsorer and I am Jobsy's sponsorer!!!) Jinesh introduced another member immediately and the number of group members just jumped like the Petrol price in our country. BTW - any agitations against petrol price hike in the city? I am lil free next week...

Some time back, when our Mannina Maga (my respectful first boss in BC) Radha was crowned SHoW for introducing two people at a time. Now it is Jobsy who has broken the record... I am sure this would motivate others to bring a lot more new members and take away the most prestigious:-) exBCians award - SHoW. But please don't poach resources from BC itself to achieve the target:-). BC, with great difficulties, is on a success path now. Thanks to the busy schedule of poachers like me in the current companies (I have actually not done that till now... respect for the company!!!).

So, Jobsy! For your MLM skills and your relentless contribution to the group when it was in BC, we are proud to crown you the SHoW. I think you were also one of the early birds to receive HoW (Hero of the Week) in BC days. But forgot your HoW name... this time we would love to name you Mr. MLM (as usual, renaming is welcome!!!). I also request his peer Hari Sadu, sorry Narahari Rao to present this award with all the formalities in place to Jobsy, his childhood dhosth...

Folks, now Jobsy will tell all his siblings' (brothers and sisters) names as quick as a lightning... you need to repeat them in the same order and speed (if possible, the same accent too!!!). The one who does
that successfully will be unanimously selected as SHoW next week. (Ironically, this is how unanimous decisions are made in Indian politics!!!). We used to have this contest in the 4 tracks bar... imagine how funny it would have been for the non-drinkers (Gopal, as you wished we are not to be called drunkards anymore... we are just drinkers!!!) after he tells the names...

I also request Gopal, the business magnet & Raghuraman, the heartthrob to repeat the Jobsy slogan for the benefit of those who missed it...

Please understand the purpose of the post correctly. Before you start reading this, you may have to forget all the discussions going on around races and racism in India in the last few weeks. It's not on those lines. This was written sometime back with a different purpose, so please don't mix this up with such things. There is always a complaint that Tamils are excessively proud about their language. I agree. It surely doesn't make them superior to others. If your language is older than someone else's or if it has more literature than someone else's, it is just a fact and there is nothing to feel superior about it. Cricket, Population and Nation

Right from childhood, when I watch Cricket matches, I pray for India to win. Especially major tournaments and world cups, I always wanted India to win at “any” cost. Why? Yes, you are right. It’s because I am in Indian. That’s not all. There was another reason why I always wanted India to win all matches and tournaments. What is that? Unlike any other nation, a win by India makes an incomparably huge population happy. I always used to say that India had the highest population among Cricket playing nations so India had to win.
